A guided tour of Mineralogical Collections at the UCT Prague
Event for international staff and students of UCT Prague and their friends or family members
- When: Wednesday, 30 October, 2024, possible times: first group from 11:00 AM, second group from 1:00 PM
- Possible times: first group from 11:00 AM, second group from 1:00 PM
- Where: UCT Prague, FCHT, Department of Solid State Chemistry, (A)P 11
- Meeting place: in front of the Rector´s office, room No. (A)101, first floor building A,
first group at 10:50 AM, second group at 12:50 PM - What to look forward to: You will see the second largest collection of minerals in the Czech Republic. The collection has a section dedicated to precious stones and a section where minerals are stored according to the standard mineralogical system.
- Who will guide us: doc. Ing. Michal Hušák, who is experienced in both mineral research methods and field collecting. The tour will be held in English.
